La Ruta Maya - kind of....

So T-6 days , and the route is pretty much sorted.
Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua.
8 weeks, 2 girls, 2 bulging backpacks, minimal command of  Spanish. What could go wrong?

One week and counting....

So it's almost here....after a ridiculously stressful 2011 it's time to get back to my normal carefree self doing what I do best. Travel.

I say do best, given how full my pack is I'm not quite sure intrepid traveller works anymore. Hartley's gone flash.

Hey ho - it's off to Belize we go in search of cocktails, sunshine, and endless turquoise sea.
